(Client:)I am interested in commissioning a couple of posters to promote my firm's personal injury
business. We are advertising in hospitals and would like to display some
funny-ish cartoons to catch people's attention and get them to pick up our
leaflets.
We already have one idea - a spot the
difference poster showing the injured person lying on a hospital bed one side
and on a sunbed on a beach on the other - with our services making the
difference!
Thank you for your prompt reply. We are looking for colour versions to be
approximately A2 size (i.e. no pixelation if we expand them to this size) but
obviously capable of being smaller - perhaps down to A4. We would like the
cartoon split left and right to show the two senarios.
We are open to your ideas - but quite like the hospital bed/sunbed split where
the person is lying injured in bed e.g. with a broken leg and arm. Examples of
what items could be "turned into" are:
Bed = Sunbed
Drip Stand = Palm tree
Clock on wall = Sun
Specimin bottle = cocktail
I am sure you have loads of ideas but we would like as many items transformed as
possible to give people in waiting rooms a bit of a challenge to spot them all.
A second senario could be a hospital waiting room turning into a posh restaurant
where the nurse turns into a waitress etc. We are happy for you to come up with
your own ideas though - you are no doubt much more creative than we are!!
Only other thing is we need add a few words to the top and bottom and have a
small space at the bottom (e.g. 4 inches high) going all across to put in our
telephone number and "Take a contact card" with an arrow pointing to a card
dispenser which will sit in the bottom right of the poster frame.
Back to the normal type of Spot-The-Difference cartoons. This is one of a series I did for the YHA(Youth Hostel Association.) See if you can find the 10 difference - no prizes I'm afraid!
Here's a spot-the-difference cartoon I did for Dema Glass, can you spot eight differences?
The good thing about competitions like this is they get readers involved. And if you've got some product branding in there all the better!
And for a double glazing company....with a Christmas theme!
