HOW TO COMMISSION A CARICATURE…
Send only RECENT photos, these can be emailed – but try to keep your files sizes to 2mb or lower.(Hang on a second - I've now got a Broadband connection, so in theory there's no limit on file size!) A good close up shot will produce a better result that someone in the distance! Click here for photo tips…
Photos can also be posted(See address at the bottom of this page.), but this would be done at your own risk. I do take care of your photos but things can get lost in the post.
Please mention the persons EYE COLOUR as this is not always obvious from the photos. Cartoon Studio caricatures tend to be of a gentler style rather than the more savage, exaggerated drawings some artists produce. You might think it would be really funny to have a caricature of a friend with exaggerated features – but ask yourself, will they like it enough to hang it up on their wall? Or will it be hated and hidden away in the spare bedroom – never to see the light of day! On the other hand, if you want an exaggerated caricature, you’re the client!

Jot down some details you would like to see in the caricature, but please note, the more detail you want in the sports, soccer, work related caricature the more time it takes me to do and the more it will cost. If it is quite a detailed cartoon caricature I will usually do a very quick sketch/layout for you to look at.

Remember, the Cartoon Studio has been drawing cartoons, caricatures and cartoon strips for 25 years, this is not a hobby, I do this 50 hours a week, week in week out. Not just at night or at weekends. You’re hiring a professional and you will be treated like any other client. I absolutely love my job, I love working with people to get the result you want. I get my satisfaction from a succesfully produced caricature. My goal is to produce caricatures that you’re extremely happy with…Cartoon Studio’s motto is ‘Working to make you and your clients smile!’

Back to the main caricature page....

This caricature was drawn up for someone's 50th birthday. It was drawn at A3 size and as you can see it contained a lot of bits that made it very personalised. He owned two small hotels which photos were provided for, he was also a majority shareholder in the Tom Cobbler group of pubs who had a brand identification characters - one appears bottom left of the caricature and a childrens one bottom right. He loves skiing, owned a race horse and also had a lake in his back garden! Oh, and don't forget his two cats!
Please bear in mind this was a very time consuming cartoon - and was very costly!
